TNP New Face 2016: Nicole Ashley Rolph
Nicole Ashley Rolph, 19
Architecture student at Temasek Polytechnic
Nicole's favourite place to visit in Singapore is Sentosa because of its ambience. She said: "It's very different from the rest of Singapore in terms of the beaches, atmosphere and facilities."
What is your biggest obsession?
My baby brother Scott. He's turning one in October and he's the cutest baby I know.
What do you do to de-stress?
I take a walk or a bath or read a book to calm my thoughts and clear my mind. The most recent book I've read is Gone Girl.
Describe one interesting fact about yourself.
I come off as unfriendly to people because my face looks serious all the time, but I'm actually really friendly once you get to know me.
What was your favourite subject in school?
Mathematics. I used to hate it because I failed all the time from Secondary 1 to 4 but I finally decided to do something about it when I was nearing my final examinations. Once I put in effort and was doing well, it was really satisfying.
What was the last concert you attended?
I went to watch The 1975 perform when they played at Laneway Festival last year. It was a really good and fun experience as it was an indie event so I thought the concert was more relaxing than other concerts I've been to.
