Fortunately, nobody was trapped under the fallen tree, a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman told The New Paper.

Said the 46-year-old manager: "I rushed out of the shower and saw the nine-storey tall tree uprooted.
"Luckily nobody had been walking below the block at that time."
COURTESY OF ROHAIZAD MOHD SALResidents told TNP it had rained heavily in the afternoon but at the time of the incident, the weather was calm.
The SCDF said an 11-year-old boy, who was in a second-storey unit, was taken to hospital with head injuries.
