UPDATE: Couple dead after Yuan Ching domestic dispute, maid injured
UPDATE (2PM): A married couple died after an apparent domestic dispute at Park View Mansions on Yuan Ching Road early Friday morning.
They had been sent - seriously injured with knife wounds - to the National University Hospital where they died.
Another person, understood to be their Filipino domestic helper, was also sent to NUH with knife wounds, where her condition has stabilised.
The New Paper understands the couple had been in a scuffle in their third storey condominium apartment, when the maid tried to intervene and was injured.
She then fled to seek help, running down three stories to the guard house where she was spotted by a passing Traffic Police officer.
Murder weapon retrieved
The 37-year-old led officers to the unit, where the couple was found. TNP understands they were found in bedrooms.
A police spokesman said they received a call for assistance at about 7.55am this morning.
Officers found a man, 37, and a woman, 39, who were injured in the said unit. They subsequently succumbed to their injuries.
The man is believed to be Singaporean, while his wife is understood to be a 39-year-old Singapore PR.
The weapon is understood to have been retrieved.
Police investigations are ongoing.
