Stray dog with arrow in head rescued
A stray dog, with a 70cm-long arrow lodged through its head, was found wandering in China.
The black dog was spotted in north-east Beijing on Thursday afternoon, reported the South China Morning Post.
A photo of the injured animal was uploaded on social media and widely circulated, The Beijing News reported.
Some people tried to help the dog but it ran off. It was seen rubbing its head against the ground and trying to get rid of the arrow, witnesses told the paper.
The dog was later taken to a veterinary hospital and the arrow was removed.
More than 10,000 yuan (S$2,100) was donated to the dog by netizens that day.
A barista, who had been feeding the dog for more than two years, said he had seen people playing with crossbows in the area.
Police are investigating the case.
