Singapore shows up in the top 5 of two rich lists.
The report, which uses statistics from last year, also stated that the number of millionaire households is growing. (Millionaire in US dollar terms.)

How many millionaire households are there in the world?
16.3 million.
This is up from 13.7 million in 2012.
This represents 1.1 percent of all households globally.
Who has the most millionaire households?
- US (7.1 million)
- China (2.4 million) - up from 1.5 million in 2012
- Japan (1.2 million) - down from 1.5 million in 2012
Who has the most new millionaires?
The US. It has 1.1 million new millionaires.
Who has the highest proportion of millionaire households?
- Qatar (17.5 per cent)
- Switzerland (12.7 per cent)
- Singapore (10 per cent)
This mean 1 in every 10 Singapore households are millionaire households.
Who has the highest proportion of ultra-high-net-worth (*UHNW) households per 100,000 households?
- Hong Kong (16.8)
- Switzerland (11.3)
- Austria (9.3)
- Norway (8.3)
- Singapore (7.4)
*UHNW are households with more than US$100 million (S$125 million) in private financial wealth.
