Hubby Chris to Fann Wong: Let's try for No. 2
Fann Wong claimed to have lost an impressive 18kg since she gave birth to baby Zed on Aug 9 last year.
And her husband's first words upon seeing her post weight-loss?
"It's good that you're so slim now. Let's start trying for our second baby," actor Christopher Lee said.
Wong, 43, unveiled her long legs and trim waist in a little black number at the Marie France Bodyline press conference yesterday afternoon. It appointed Wong as its spokesman last June.
Looking radiant and happy, the first-time mother made the local media laugh when she spoke of her husband's initial reaction towards her weight loss.
Wong said: "Of course I was very happy when he told me that I look very slim now, but I glared at him when he said we can start trying for Baby Number Two."
STILL BREASTFEEDING
She added: "We definitely hope to have a second baby. But as I'm still breastfeeding, we may have to wait for a while."
Wong, who weighs 53kg now, is so confident of her body that she would not mind doing a sexy photo shoot if approached.
She told The New Paper: "I have not thought of doing one, but if someone asks me to do a bikini shoot, I have the confidence to do it now."
Before this, Wong's most daring photo shoot was taken when she was nearly eight months pregnant. It showed her with a blue cloth covering her chest and hips.
That photo was part of a shoot for slimming specialist Marie France Bodyline.
The model-turned-actress said that the excess weight in her thighs and tummy was the hardest to shed.
She said that as she had had a caesarean section, she could not exercise nor have her tummy massaged post-pregnancy and this resulted initially in slow weight loss.
Wong said: "At first, I was a little worried because the numbers on the weighing scale were not dropping. I started to think that it was really difficult. I also felt very bloated all the time."
Lee surprised his wife by showing up at the press conference unannounced with a bouquet of flowers, which made Wong tear up.
Lee said: "Before she lost weight, I always hugged her and said I felt safe with her around (because of her size).
"Now, it's the other way round. She has lost the weight, but I have not."
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
The organisers of the press conference also celebrated Wong's birthday for her in advance with a birthday cake on stage.
Wong, whose birthday is on Jan 27, said that she wished for happiness and health for herself and her family.
She also wished that she could blow the birthday candles out with Lee and baby Zed together.
This year, the actress is starting to look at scripts and might travel to China for filming projects after Chinese New Year.
Looking a little sad, Wong said: "The thought of leaving Zed Zed at home for a few months is very difficult. However, Chris and I love our jobs and we must learn to overcome this."
Wong is already preparing her son for Chinese New Year, saying: "I've been training Zed to say 'Gongxi Gongxi' so that he can collect hongbao from all the uncles and aunties he meets."
Of course I was very happy when he told me that I look very slim now, but I glared at him when he said we can start trying for Baby Number Two.
