What's wrong with this photo?
Some Twitter users have been in a tizzy over this photo.
What's wrong with it? Well, it depends if you subscribe to the traditional notion that men should walk on the outer side of the pavement.
If you do, then the man in the photo has committed a serious breach of etiquette.
Mirror quoted Modern Gentleman Magazine as saying: "A woman should always walk on the 'protected side', it being left or right, if she is exposed to some unpleasantness.
"For example if the road is filled with water ponds she might get splashed from passing by cars.
"This is why you should walk on the outer side of the pavement, no matter if it’s left or right."
News.com.au quoted a user as saying: "I think it’s just the ‘gentleman thing’ to do. Just like opening doors. Some women may not like that, but it doesn’t change."
Some Twitter users have pointed out that the code of conduct is outdated, and has no bearing in this current day and age.
