Man crashes car along Jalan Boon Lay
The driver of this red car refused to be taken to hospital after crashing it just past midnight yesterday.
The car had slammed into a road divider at Jalan Boon Lay.
The impact smashed up the front of the car and part of the road divider was crushed into the car.
A resident who lives nearby, Mr Khew Zong Jie, 32, said he was getting ready for bed when he heard a crashing sound outside his Jurong West Central 1 flat.
Alarmed, he looked out from his ninth-storey bedroom window to investigate and saw the shocking sight.
Mr Khew told The New Paper: "I saw a man I believe to be the driver limping towards the driver's door, which was open.
"He appeared to be otherwise unharmed."
The insurance agent said he saw three men trying to remove the divider from the wreckage.
REMARKABLE
It was unclear if the men were passers-by or friends of the driver.
Mr Khew said: "It was remarkable that even though the car was (heavily damaged), the driver seemed to be unharmed."
The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the incident at about 12.30am.
SCDF dispatched one ambulance, but a male individual refused to be taken to hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
