Drogba returns to Chelsea
Didier Drogba has made a sensational return to Chelsea on a one-year contract.
The powerful striker from the Ivory Coast left the Blues in 2012 for Shanghai Shenhua before moving to Galatasaray barely a year later.
He has now returned to Stamford Bridge after being released by the Turkish giants.
The 36-year-old was delighted to be reunited with manager Jose Mourinho, saying: "It was an easy decision. I couldn't turn down the opportunity to work with Jose again.
"Everyone knows the special relationship I have with this club and it has always felt like home to me. My desire to win is still the same and I look forward to the opportunity to help this team.
"I am excited for this next chapter of my career."
Drogba was signed by Mourinho in 2004 for £24 million ($50.6m) and went on to make 341 appearances during a trophy-laden eight years with Chelsea, scoring 157 goals in the process.
