Lemon dresses shine at Cannes
KIRSTEN DUNST
Photocall before the opening of the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France
Dress: Christian Dior
Shoes: Salvatore Ferragamo
Strangely, none of the frocks at Cannes so far thrilled me more than Dunst's minimal yet glorious retro-chic lemon belted shirt dress, an item every woman needs to have in her closet NOW.

JESSICA CHASTAIN
Opening ceremony and screening of Cafe Society at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France
Gown: Armani Prive
Here's another refreshing ray of sunshine. This shade of yellow works surprisingly well on a pale redhead and it's pleated to perfection.

ARAYA A. HARGATE
Opening ceremony and screening of Cafe Society at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France
Gown: Ralph & Russo
Go big or go home right? But the English-Thai starlet's explosion of pink ruffles could be just a tad oversized. Jellyfish-sea anemone hybrid creature, get thee back into the water.

TAYLOR SWIFT
BMI Pop Awards in Los Angeles
Gown: Monique Lhuillier
Let's just say I'm not enjoying Swift's style overhaul. Bleached hair combined with choker and velvet slip dress? I don't think any of us are ready to revisit the 90s yet.

VICTORIA BECKHAM
Opening ceremony and screening of Cafe Society at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France
Top and pants: Victoria Beckham
Everything about this is depressing, especially for a Cannes red carpet. The crotch is too long, the pants are too long, and well, we've always known that that face is too long.

MOST IMPROVED
CHLOE SEVIGNY
Honestly, Sevigny looked clinically insane at the recent Met Gala, channelling a trashy old-timey saloon barmaid who’s had a really rough day (hence that rip in the skirt). The Von Trapp braided hairdo is still bonkers at her second outing, but at least her peach dress with embellished collar and cuffs is vintage pretty.
Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala in New York City, May 2
Dress: Simone Rocha
Love & Friendship screening in New York City, May 10
Dress: Prada
It could go full androgynous. I’ve done the no eyebrows, I’ve done all of it, so I’m running out of tricks. Maybe I should just be normal.
