This article is more than 12 months old

A new bus service between Outram and Commonwealth was launched yesterday.

Service 122 will provide residents of Margaret Drive, Dawson Road and Kay Siang Road with better connectivity to MRT stations, schools and other amenities.

Some 35 residents living at Strathmore Avenue were treated to a complimentary ride on service 122. They were joined by Senior Minister of State for Law and Education and Tanjong Pagar GRC MP Indranee Rajah (above in striped top).

Operated by SBS Transit, the new route is part of the Government's billion-dollar Bus Service Enhancement Programme.

Besides calling at Outram Park, Tiong Bahru and Commonwealth MRT stations, service 122 will also provide access to Tiong Bahru Plaza, Singapore General Hospital, and schools such as Queensway Secondary and Gan Eng Seng.
