Update: Yio Chu Kang house fire injures six, two bodies found
Update:
Firefighters from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) found two bodies on the second floor of the house at No. 6A Parry Ave, off Yio Chu Kang Road.
SCDF was alerted about a fire at the location at 3am.
When they arrived at the scene, the raging fire had engulfed the entire house.
Firefighters uses four water jets to extinguish fire as well as well as carying our search and rescue operations within the house.
Two additional water jet were deployed to stop the fire from spreading to the units beside the house.
Before SCDF's arrival, six occupants had already ran out of the house.
Firefighters then aided two additional occupants, including an elderly man outof the burning house.
In total six people, including one firefighter, were brought to the Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
The fire was brought under control within 30 mins and it was fully extinguished at 4.30am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A fire has broken out at a two-storey house at Parry Avenue, off Yio Chu Kang Road, injuring six people with two more believed missing.
The New Paper (TNP) understands a family of 10 lived there.
The injured were sent to the Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
They are believed to include a man in his 80s, a man in his 70s and a child who is about 10 years old.
Two members of the multi-generational family are believed to be missing.
One of them is believed to be an elderly woman.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told TNP they received a call at 3am about the blaze.
When they arrived, they found the fire raging from the second storey.
Three water jets were used to extinguish the fire.
