S'pore tourist reportedly hurt in bus crash in Hokkaido, drivers killed
A bus carrying 33 Singapore tourists was involved in a head-on collision with a truck this morning (Oct 23).
Both the bus and truck drivers are dead.
A Singaporean is reportedly injured.
Japanese media reports said that the bus was travelling along National Highway Number 5 in a town in southern Hokkaido when the accident happened.
The Straits Times said the vehicle swerved to avoid a truck that had veered into the opposite lane.
According to 47 News, 14 people were taken to the hospital, with one of them suffering from serious injuries.
The bus was heading towards Sapporo, a popular tourist destination in Hokkaido, Japan.
