Drogba celebrates on Instagram after Ivory Coast win Africa Cup of Nations
Chelsea’s Didier Drogba has every right to feel mixed emotions last night as the Ivory Coast claimed their first Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) title since 1992.
After all, he retired from international football after appearing in five unsuccessful Afcon tournaments.
That didn't stop him showing his support for the team on Instagram though.
The Chelsea man uploaded a video of himself celebrating the moment goalkeeper Boubacar Barry converted the decisive spot-kick.
Ivory Coast claimed the trophy after a dramatic 9-8 penalty shootout.
It was a fitting redemption for The Elephants - who coincidentally won their last tournament against Ghana via another epic shootout.
Ghana’s Andre Ayew however, was clearly not taking the defeat well.
