Car parked in Paya Lebar HDB carpark bursts into flames
A silver Hyundai parked at an HDB estate in Paya Lebar burst into flames on Thursday (Oct 8) evening.
Eyewitnesses told The New Paper they heard loud popping sounds coming from the car, which was parked near Block 121 at Paya Lebar Way, at about 6.40pm.
The car's engine caught fire soon after.
The fire prompted residents to hurriedly drive their cars away from the burning vehicle.
No one was hurt.
Firefighters extinguished the fire.
When The New Paper arrived at about 7pm, the front of the car was completely charred.
