A 78-year-old Malaysian man has wowed the Internet with his flawless execution of three-finger push-ups.

A video posted on TikTok by user cgmai1 showed the unnamed senior citizen, who is wearing a white T-shirt and sarong, lowering himself until his nose nearly touched the ground, before pushing himself up again.

“Although 78, he is still healthy and energetic,” the video caption said. The background track chosen was Perajurit Tanah Air, a patriotic song that extols soldiers’ readiness to fight and die for the country.

The video caption also said the elderly man was a former member of the 17th Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment, the premier unit in the Malaysian Army.

The original poster also said despite his age, the man still goes into the jungle with his friends.

The video has chalked up over 1.2 million views, with people expressing their admiration over the senior citizen’s fitness

One commentator said: “He did that with only 3 fingers. And here I am, 25 years old, and even if I’m granted with 250 fingers, there’s no guarantee I can do the same.”

Another netizen with the handle I’mAzim noted the man must have “body like Bruce Lee” when he was younger.

Beyond the fitness feat, the video has also sparked gratitude for the elderly man’s service to the nation.

“Thank you for your service, Sir!! I always respect our frontliners, they are all amazing!” wrote kwanweixian.
