Celebrate your home with Ikea, with four collections to be launched
Ikea helps you do this with 4 distinct launches
As its theme for 2019, Ikea Singapore wants to "make home count".
With a particular spotlight on the living room, in the first of four distinct launches this year, Ikea hopes to encourage customers to organise their living spaces and create feel-good homes for themselves.
The Swedish furniture retailer was inspired by results from its 2017 Life at Home Report, where 54 per cent of Singaporeans surveyed said their main household arguments were over what constituted a "mess" at home.
Ikea's 2019 catalogue introduces seven home profiles that highlight various living situations, from a 16 sq m flat and a home totally dedicated to eco-friendly choices to a full house for a family of six (a set of parents and four children) and a cohabiting couple.
Ms Caroline Ng, Ikea Singapore's country marketing manager, told The New Paper: "We have always included inspirational single room settings in our catalogue.
DIFFERENT
"But this year, we've switched things up by creating whole homes to show the Ikea products in coordination, curated based on style or a certain colour scheme.
"These spaces were designed for fictional families but are full of real ideas and inspiration aimed at designing a better life at home for our customers."
There will now be two catalogues releases in Singapore instead of one - the first at the end of August and the second in February.
The newly launched Sammanhang collection celebrates your belongings and asks you to make a statement with its open and closed pieces, while Lyskraft injects new life into Ikea classics in collaboration with Dutch design studio Scholten & Baijings.
Designed by Per B Sundberg, one of Sweden's most acclaimed glass and ceramic artists, Foremal is a limited-edition collection full of conversation-sparking pieces that make for a good gift for friends, family and even yourself.
Straddling the line between pretty, ugly and lovely, Foremal - which will be launched on Sept 20 exclusively on the Ikea Singapore website - features vases, rugs, cushions and even candlestick holders.
And to commemorate Ikea's 75th anniversary, look out for the Gratulera collection next month and December, where nostalgic, classic products from the 1950s until the early 2000s will be brought back for a limited period.
