Siti Nurhaliza hoping for a child soon
Barely a month after rumours said she was pregnant with her first child, Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza revealed in an Instagram post last month that she had suffered a miscarriage in the second month of pregnancy and explained she kept it a secret as it was in the early stages.
In a recent interview with Malaysian newspaper Harian Metro, the 36-year-old said that she accepts the test from God.
She said a lack of rest could have been a contributing factor.
"In the beginning, even I didn't know I was pregnant as I was busy preparing for Konsert Satu Suara Volume 2 at the Istana Budaya as well as my husband's son's wedding.
"At the same time, my husband (Malaysian businessman Datuk Seri Khalid, whom she married in 2006) had dengue fever.
"So I lacked rest. But it's okay because this is God's will. He has his plans," she said.
She hopes to get pregnant again.
"According to the doctor, after a miscarriage, it takes a shorter amount of time to get pregnant. So I hope to have a child as soon as possible.
"A 10-year wait is not a short amount of time. What is important is that my husband and I are constantly praying," said Siti Nurhaliza.
